Rangers Fall to League-Leading Bellevue, Turn Focus to Sophomore Day on Saturday
Olympic College hit the road Wednesday night to take on NWAC North leaders Bellevue, ultimately falling 109–80 to a Bulldogs squad that has now improved to 13–0 in conference play and 26–2 overall. Bellevue's size, shooting efficiency, and depth were on full display, as the Bulldogs shot an impressive 68.9% from the field and 55.6% from three, making them one of the toughest matchups in the region.
Despite the loss, the Rangers showed stretches of strong play and continued to demonstrate competitiveness during a challenging portion of the schedule. Tyler Adams provided a spark off the bench with 13 points—including a key three-pointer—while Nathaniel Campbell added another 13 points of his own, going a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Eric Woods reached double digits with 11 points, and Reece Rheinschmidt battled inside for 11 points and 5 rebounds. The Rangers also received a lift from Tristan Lyden-Garity, who contributed 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Bellevue's relentless tempo and offensive precision allowed them to extend their lead as the night progressed, but Olympic continued to compete, showing the energy and effort that first-year head coach Patrick Lewis expects from his group. With three games remaining, the Rangers now turn their attention to closing the season on a strong note.
